2. Design

Once the initial Consultation stage is completed (and we've got to know each other better), we move onto the Design stage which clarifies the details of the project, pinning downs most if not all of costs associated with the project as well as looking at timings for the Installation stage.

During this stage we often recommend seeing actual samples of materials proposed to ensure you know what you are getting (everything looks good in a brochure). Also marking out areas to give you a better idea of scale, position and how the new space relates to existing spaces. We have found that time spent on this stage often pays dividends down the line.

This stage is charged in one of two ways depending on the nature of the project. More often than not it is allowed for in the overall project costs which are presented at the Consultation stage. However, there might be occasions when we charge an hourly fee. This is usually when we are just offering Design ideas for someone else to install. This could be the clients own Landscapers or Builders, which is sometimes the case with projects a long distance from Gloucestershire where we are based. In some of these cases we 'top n tail' the project by providing the design, being available if needed and then being involved in the finishing touches. Most projects in and around Gloucestershire are fully managed by us.

The purpose of this stage is to generate clear ideas on the design solutions and a detailed set costs. So to clarity, you will receive the design (we use a selection of formats from coloured sketches to AI generated renders). Plus you will receive a written set of costs and timings.
